Guest Posting Guidelines

For bloggers, guest blogging is a good way of helping each other. The guest blogger helps the host by adding content to his blog, while the host provides a place for the guest blogger to promote his blog through a back link.

In the past few months, I have received quite a number of emails inquiring if I am accepting guest posts. Yes, I do. Math and Multimedia has reached nearly 1.5 million page views in three years, and has more than two thousand followers on Twitter, Facebook, RSS, and Email Subscriptions, so  guest posting here will surely boost your  traffic.

Due to the increasing inquiries,  I have created a Guest Posting Guidelines below.

Guest Posting Guidelines

  1. The post must be relevant. It must be about K-12 mathematics, mathematics teaching, integration of technology in teaching math, or math/educational software tutorials.
  2. It must be original and must have not been published anywhere on print or online.  Once your post is published here, you also agree not to publish it anywhere else.
  3. It must be not more 1000 words and not less than 300 words.
  4. It must be in HTML, Word, or OpenOffice Writer format.  Math and Multimedia supports latex, so please use latex code if you know how to.
  5. The images being used must contain a  link it to its source.
  6. I might edit the content (mathematics) of guest posts, if I find it vague or confusing.  I might also ask someone to language edit it (I am not that really good in English) if necessary.
  7. Although links to your blog are allowed for free, unrelated, affiliate, and commercial links are not. For articles with links to commercial sites such as online degree sites, fees will apply.
  8. You may include a short byline (three to five sentences about you) including a link to your own website or blog.

If your article met the requirements above, you can send it to mathandmultimedia@gmail.com.
