The Sound of Pi

Michael Blake integrates mathematics with music as he interprets the sound of pi (\pi = 3.1415\cdots).

I think this only shows that we can just pick random notes and still create beautiful music. You may also want to listen to the musical beauty of \tau.

  1. I know what you mean about random notes still containing beauty, but in another sense, the digits of pi are the furthest thing form random. They’re the digits of Pi, so they’re completely pre-determined! (In a sense)

I agree. I was thinking at the back of my mind that the distribution of the digits 0-9 in pi is pretty random (at least in as far as we know).

  2. Wow! Gangsta! Definitely sharing that with the math team at my school!
