Building widgets with Wolfram Alpha

We have talked about why Wolfram Alpha and why is it so special.  Yesterday, I tried exploring widgets and came across with this video on how to build widgets using Wolfram Alpha.

Once you have created a widget, you can embed it on your websites.  The widget below is the first widget I created. Try typing the equations and click the Submit button to see the results.

You are probably wondering about the unwanted lines on the widget, but I think it’s in the format of the WordPress template. Here’s how should it look like in a Blospot blog. I haven’t tried embedding it using other templates.

The Carnival of Mathematics #75 is also live at Science Backstage. My post Understanding Fermat’s Last Theorem was the author’s favorite (Thank you!).

The Mathematics and Multimedia Blog Carnival is also on its ninth edition and will be hosted byVirtual Math Tutor . You may submit your articles here. The deadline of submission is on SaturdayMarch 26, 2011. The post date is on March 28.
