For teachers who are looking for tools to use in teaching, as well as for students who are looking for great  tools for learning, check out the slide below. Jane Hart has once again compiled the 100 Tools for Learning for 2013. This year, Twitter still tops the list, while Google Drive/Docs is number 2. It is followed by Youtube, Google Search and Powerpoint.

There are also some new interesting entries this year, like Feedly and RSS aggregator which I had been using for quite a while. See more of the list in the slide below.

How to Trim Youtube Videos Online

For teachers who are blogging, it is sometimes needed to just show a portion of a video or sometimes it is necessary to hide certain portions of a video. There are two ways to do this. First, you can permanently trim the video, and second, you can just hide show a certain portion without literally trimming.

In this tutorial, I am going to teach you how to literally trim. The word ‘trim’ in this tutorial, literally means to cut the unneeded portion of the video. Note that you can only do this if you are the one who uploaded the video. Once you do this, you cannot undo the process. Below are the steps in trimming a Youtube video.

If you have enjoyed creating 3D with Sketchup, you might want to check another cool 3D modeling software called Tinkercad. TinkerCad is a tool used from creating digital designs that are ready to be printed in physical objects. The good thing about Tinkercard is that it can run on your browsers. In addition, new users are guided through lessons moving from basics to more complex techniques.
